Description
The AN-50 system consists of a high-torque electric drive unit and a 6-meter flexible “poker” shaft. This configuration is the industry standard for medium-to-large construction projects across Kenya due to its reliability and extended reach.
1. High-Performance Drive Unit
-
Motor Power: Typically powered by a 1.5kW to 2.2kW (2.0 β 3.0 HP) high-efficiency electric motor.
-
Rotation Speed: Operates at approximately 2,840 to 3,600 RPM, which the poker head converts into high-frequency vibrations.
-
Voltage Options: Available in Single-Phase (240V) for standard site power or Three-Phase (415V) for heavy industrial use.
-
Durability: Housed in a rugged, cast-iron or steel frame with rubber shock absorbers to minimize vibration transfer to the motor and operator.
2. Heavy-Duty Poker Shaft (45mm x 6M)
-
45mm Head Diameter: This “large-bore” head provides a powerful vibration radius, allowing the operator to compact a larger volume of concrete in a single insertion.
-
6-Meter Length: The extra-long 6m (19.7ft) shaft is critical for vibrating tall columns, deep retaining walls, or reaching across wide floor slabs without relocating the motor.
-
Construction: Features a high-tensile steel flexible core protected by an oil-resistant, reinforced rubber hose designed to withstand the abrasive nature of wet concrete.
-
Universal Coupling: Uses a standard Dynapac (Hex-type) or pin-type locking mechanism for a secure, “no-slip” connection to the drive unit.
